Abilities Movement (AM) is looking for a part time Fitness Professional to join our growing team and to provide services in Personal Training and Group Fitness programming for people with special needs.
1. AM is looking for a dedicated professional with one or more of the following:
A. BS/AS in Exercise Physiology or Physical Education with certification in Adapted Physical Education.
B. Personal Training certification (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, NASM) with one year of education/experience in the field working with individuals who have disabilities.
C. Personal Training Professional with a strong interest in facilitating for individuals who have special needs. AM is willing to train the right person who has a background in physical education, fitness, or personal training.
2. First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are required for this position.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow to full time. To be considered for this position, applicants must be caring, patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing people with special needs the chance to be successful. AM is in the community. Applicants must have a valid NYS Driver license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel to various locations.
